With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carol Knudsen of Marion, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Carol left this world on January 23, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Arduser and Dora Arduser (Young); her husband Melvin H. Knudsen; her sisters, Margaret Egli and Julia Arduser-Thomas; and her granddaughter Cynthia Knudsen.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Knudsen (Sena) of Newark, OH, Brion Knudsen (Vicki) of Marion, ND, Byron Knudsen (Becky) of Marion, ND, Beverly Mack (Matthew) of Devils Lake, ND and Becky Swegarden (Jed) of Lake Park, MN.; and her grandchildren, Eva Garringer (Joel), Gabriel Knudsen (Nazanin), Reba Allen, Isaac Knudsen, Clint Knudsen (Darcie), Bonnie Bowen (Matt), Lucas Knudsen, Wesley Knudsen, Kenny Knudsen, Travis Mack, Lee Mack, Heidi Grafsgaard (Jaydon), Mason Swegarden (Anna), Jessie Haglund (Tory) and Jayda Swegarden. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grace Methodist Church. A prayer was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Carol requested that memorial tributes be made as charitable donations to Grace Methodist Church in Marion or Service Dogs for America in Jud, ND.
