She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Knudson and Adeline Knudson (Arneson); her husband Francis James Murphy; her brothers, Robert Owen Knudson and Donn Knudson (Cathy); her son-in-law Jason Sanden; her niece Tara Knudson; her nephew Todd Knudson; her great grandchild Penelope Moody; and her in-laws, Michael, Luella Murphy, Sr. (Hutton), Michele Murphy, Vernon and Mary Zubrod.

She is survived by: her children, Brenna Grossbauer (Michael), Bridget Kabah (Sidney), Carla Sanden, Jason Murphy (Michelle), John Murphy (Beth) and Paul Murphy (Nicole); her grandchildren, Brandon Moody (Krystal), Justin Moody (Haley), Madeline Grossbauer, Sydney Simpson (Xavier), Austin Slaughter, Jonah Kabah, Carter Sanden (Kaylee), John Sanden, Hannah Bingham (Cole), Earl Murphy and Lulu Murphy; her great grandchildren, Milo, Clementine Moody and Ella Simpson; and her brothers, Roger Knudson (Dori) and Ron Knudson (Sonja). She is also survived by numerous other relatives and her very special friends.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, Marlys would love for people to follow their dreams, find joy in whatever they're passionate about, and to live a spiritual life always being kind.
