With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cornell Poitra Sr. of Mandaree, North Dakota, born in Garrison, North Dakota, who passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 50. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Peter "Mickey" Poitra, Sr. and Marie Delores Seminole; and his siblings, Gloria, Eileen, Valerie, Rosie and Roderick.
He is survived by: his wife Delaine F. Clairmont; his children, Aprielle M. Poitra of Mandaree, Kenzie Poitra of Mandaree, Terran Poitra of Mandaree, Sparrow Poitra of Mandaree, Cornell Poitra, Jr. (Kylee Dawes) and Gavin Poitra; and his siblings, Eldora Poitra, Adreienne Poitra, Kathy Poitra, Brenda Poitra, Elton Spotted Horse (Jeanine), Julius Poitra Jr. (Patty) and Fred Poitra. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
