He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Zachmeier and Katherine Zachmeier (Jiran); and his siblings, Bill, Ed, Albert, Jim, Louie and Harriet McFerran.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Peake; his children, Jerry Zachmeier (Amy), Sheri Zachmeier and Brandee Gramling (Shane); and his siblings, Wally Zachmeier (Lyla), Loretta Landeis (Tom) and Leo Zachmeier (Jodene). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
