He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Sperling; his parents-in-law, Arnold Reiland and Joyce Reiland-Schauer; his stepfather-in-law Melvin Schauer; his brother James Sperling; his brothers-in-law, John Reiland, Leo Krein and Curt Rudolf; and his nephews, Tyler Sperling and William Reed.
He is survived by: his mother Norma Sperling (Eisenbeis) of Wishek, ND; his wife Nancy; his brother Craig Sperling (Lori) of Bismarck, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Beth Rudolf of Mandan, ND, Elaine Reiland of Hernando, FL and Paul Reiland (Tamie) of Mitchell, SD. He is also survived by four nephews, four nieces, and four great nephews, and four great nieces.
