With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Berger of Mandan, North Dakota, who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Peter Berger and Clara Ann Berger; his brother Raymond Berger (Red Ray); his nephew Danial Fleck; his brother-in-law Edward Fleck; his sister Brenda Backsen; and his brother-in-law Florian Fleck.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marlene Fleck, Maple Grove and Edna Fleck; his brother-in-law Whitey Backsen; and his nieces and nephews, Terry Fleck (Jenny), Clint Berger (Dawn), Troy Fleck, David Fleck, Randy Berger (Jamie), Dusty Backsen (Mindy), Rhonda Jennings (Steve), Robyn Olson (Jonathan), Tammy Washburn (Brian), Kathy Berger, Bridget Gerhardt (Nathan), Sydney Backsen (Mitch) and Ashley Backsen (Brad). He is also survived by 17 great nieces and nephews, 6 great-great nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral and Cremation Service (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Life Catholic Church (801 1st St SE, Mandan, ND 58554). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Mandan Union Cemetery (1600 Mandan Ave, Mandan, ND 58554).
