He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Burns and Leota Burns (Jochim); his sons, Robert Jr. and Rylee; his siblings, Ron, Linda, Rebecca, Rick, Sheryl and Rory; his mother-in-law Adeline Glatt; and his nephews, Ryan and RJ Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Glatt (Mandan); his father-in-law Bill Glatt (Betty Aberle); and his siblings-in-law, Loree Becker (Russ), Judy Mae Burns, Judy Schlosser Burns and Michael Massey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
