He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirk Bale and Agnes Bale (Johnson); his wife Bea; and his siblings, Betty Hall Dzuber, Kirk Jr., George (Sonia), Gregg and Doratha.

He is survived by: his children, Bruce Bale and Kris Winckler (Joel); his granddaughter Lauren Bale; his sisters-in-law, Mavis Bale and Joanne Bale; and also Deb Bale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
