He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Bruce and Louise Bruce (Moran); his former wife Rondena; his son Quail Bruce; his granddaughter Sadonna Bruce; and his siblings, Eugene, George Jr., Levi, Ronnie Bruce and Annabell Luze.

He is survived by: his grandson Malcolm Jr. "Speedy"; his wife Reba White Shirt Bruce of Mandan; his children, Malcolm "Speedy" Bruce, Jr. (Cheryl) of Parshall and Sarah Bruce of New Town; his grandchildren, Missy Jo Shay, Trey Bruce, Quail Stewart and Shooter Stewart; his great grandchildren, Kaylor Brady and Sullivan Shay; his sister Georgianna Danks of New Town; and his stepchildren, Jessica Numkena and Juan Carlos Pienado.
