She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Ritz and Helen Ritz (Monson); and her husband Jerry. She is survived by: her son Jerry Jr.; and her sister-in-law Jackie Pearson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, LaVerne prefers a memorial in her name to the Central Dakota Humane Society, 2104 37th St., Mandan, ND 58554.
