He was predeceased by: his parents, Tim Berger and Pauline Berger (Gaab); and his siblings, Jerry Berger, Bernice Orgaard and Shirley Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Grosgebauer; his grandchild Joleen Berger; his great grandchildren, Misty and Jerri Jo; his grandson Fred Berger (Arlene); his great grandchildren, Nicole, Kim, Kiley Jo, Allison, Jacob, Joseph and Nathan; his grandchild Kim Kuhn (Mark); his great grandchildren, Tye and Sascha; his grandson Chad Berger (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Lacey, John, Sadie, Justin and Chloe; and his siblings, Viola Lonning, Donna Weigel, Tom Berger and Donald Berger. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Due to current COVID-19 guidelines, there is a limited number of 20 people allowed in the chapel at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. Please follow all current COVID-19 guidelines, such as wearing a mask and social distancing.
