He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hellman and Mary Hellman (Paul); his wife Edie (Edie); his parents-in-law, Valentine and Elizabeth Schafer (Jantzer); his stepmother-in-law Veronica Schafer (Wetsch); his siblings, Claudia (Don Heinle), Roger and Frederick Hellman; his son-in-law Shawn Faller; his sisters-in-law, Johanna Olson and Pauline Hellman; and his grandsons, Michael Hellman and Jared Swallow.
He is survived by: his children, Wesley Hellman (Kym Staples), Rebecca (Roger Tangen), Gregory (Lori Hellman), Sandra (Jeff Swallow), Bradley (Cheryl Hellman), Randy (Pam Hellman), Deanna Faller of West Fargo, ND and Bonita (Trent Green); his brothers, Ted, Jerald and Donald (Cheryl); and his siblings-in-law, Josephine Erhardt (Matt) and Art Hellman (Doreen). He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren, and dozens of nephews and nieces.
