She was predeceased by: her husband Darwin Vander Vorst; her parents, Carl Hoesel and Helen Hoesel; her siblings, Harold Hoesel, Ervin Hoesel, Laurence Hoesel, Milton Hoesel and LaVerne Demianew; her siblings-in-law, Val Hoesel, Alice Hoesel, Shirley Hoesel and John Demianew; her parents-in-law, Dolly Vander Vorst and H. G. Vander Vorst; and her brother-in-law Al Westberg.
She is survived by: her children, ReNay Zundel (Donald), Ronda Mellon (Jim) and Bob Vander Vorst (Kristen); her grandchildren, Erica Hager (Corey), Caitlyn Hager (Charles), Parker Vander Vorst and Lauryn Vander Vorst; her great grandchildren, Kya Hager, Gavin Hager, Drew Hager, Brendan Hager, Mason Hager, Isaac Hager and Caroline Hager; her brother Wilbert Hoesel (Mary Ann); her sister-in-law Ann Hoesel; her stepgrandchildren, Angela Mellon, Terri Mellon and Jay Mellon; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Mamie Powers, Ewan Powers, Henry Mellon, Medora Mellon and Julian Mellon; her stepmother-in-law Darlene Vander Vorst; and her siblings-in-law, Diana Westberg and John Cooper. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mandan United Methodist Church or Mandan Braves Booster Club.
