It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Liebersbach (Mandan, North Dakota), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Riley and Bernice Riley (Bresson); her sister Marge Hedlund; and her nephew Kevin Riley. She is survived by: her husband Al Liebersbach; her children, Mark Liebersbach of Bismarck, Brent Liebersbach (Heidi) of Plymouth, MN and Tammy Martian (Kevin) of Bismarck; her grandchildren, Elijah, Joya, Treyson, Anna, Sophia, Siena, Jonah, Teresa, Philip, Rita and Faustina; her siblings, Connie Kovash (Dave), Mike Riley (Cinda), Gary Riley, Dick Riley, Mary Staples (Dick) and Colleen Sunder (Steve); and her brother-in-law Robert Hedlund.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (108 3rd St NE, Mandan, ND 58554). A Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (2929 E Century Ave, Bismarck, ND 58503).
In lieu of flowers, Helen's family encourages donations to St. Gianna & Pietro Molla Maternity Home in Minto, ND, or to Ixcan Ministries (Guatemala Missions) out of Mandan, ND, on her behalf.
