He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hanson and Alma Hanson; his wife Dona Hanson; and his father-in-law Ralph Beckler. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Diane Beckler; his children, Erik Hanson (Kimberly) and Megan Schaff (Clayton); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Miles, Charlotte Hanson, Henry and Lucas Schaff; his siblings, Janna Stamstad, Debra Lee (Ryan) and Michael (Marianne); his siblings-in-law, Jane Leingang (Duane) and Daniel Beckler; and his aunts, Joanna Goltz and Elaine Phelps. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral and Cremation Service (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (505 10th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mandan Union Cemetery (1600 Mandan Ave, Mandan, ND 58554).
