With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Dove (Mandan, North Dakota), born in Minnewaukan, North Dakota, who passed away on June 2, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ben Dove; her parents, Bertha Schmid and Edward Schmid; her stepfather Melvin Hiaasen; and her sister Marguerite Claypool.

She is survived by: her family Barbara; her children, Ben Dove (Donna) of Collegeville, PA, Rebecca Sieling (Peter) of Woodland Hills, CA and Dan Dove (Tracy) of Bismarck, ND; her siblings, Jacqueline Morrow of Minneapolis, MN, Edward Schmid of Minnewaukan, ND and Mary O'Briant of Fargo, ND; and her close friends, Suzy Phliiger and Daryl Graner. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation in her honor to a charity close to your heart.

“Lovely lovely Barbara. She was so dear to me. Myself and my generation of Fellowshipers at First Presbyterian Church in Mandan first knew Barbara when she stole the heart of Ben Dove. He was the handsome young minister from Cando who created a lot of fun at Presbyterian Bible Camp. How blessed we were to have Ben and Barbara lead our church from the late 50s. Barbara was sweet, kind, curious, adventurous, and always smiling! I was so happy be inspired by her! Love to the Doves and Family!”
