He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Anton, Mary Schantz, John and Grace Markel; and his aunts, Nancy Miller and Laurie Bender.
He is survived by: his parents, Laura Markel and Pete Markel; his children, Zane, Odessa and Olivia; his sister Shannon; and his nephew Braxton. He is also survived by his many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Austins family, care of Weigel Funeral Home.
