It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin R. Mehring (Mandan, North Dakota), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Boelich and Magdalena Boelich. He is survived by: his daughters, Alice, Marge and Linda; his wife Carol Clapper; his children, Bryan (Wanda) of Lincoln, ND, Greg (BiBi) of Mandan, ND, Melissa (Mike) and Cloris (Gregg) of Bismarck, ND; his grandchildren, Trent, Theresa, Sarah, Nathan, Alexis, Sabrena, Nicholas, Gabrielle and Madison; his great grandchildren, Kendra, Adalyn, Brayson, Eva and Sadie; and his sisters, Alice Hareland of Albuquerque, NM, Marge Patzer of Jamestown, ND and Linda Szarkowski of Jamestown, ND..
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral and Cremation Service (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A prayer was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Corpus Christi (1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck, ND 58501). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
After a lengthy battle with Parkinson's, he came to rest at home, in Bismarck, with all of his children and much of his family by his side.
