He was predeceased by: his siblings, Myron Stafslien and Pearl Hackett; and his brothers-in-law, Ben Hackett and LeRoy Erb. He is survived by: his spouse Kay Markwardt; his children, Beverly Byers of Arlington, TX and Mark Stafslien of Makoti; his granddaughter Alexandra Byers; his siblings, Derris Stafslien (Lois) of Minot and Twyla Erb of Richfield, MN; and his sister-in-law Doris Stafslien of Keller, TX.
