He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Thom and Ruth Thom (Myles); his wife Harriet Wood; his pet Whitby; his children, Karen Berryman and Kevin Thom; his grandson Kevin Thom; and his sisters, Leila Johnson and Wilma Gust.
He is survived by: his children, William Thom (Peggy) of Grand Junction, CO, Robert Thom (Lorie) of Maddock, ND and Kathryn Onstad (Kenton) of Parshall; his grandchildren, Sarah Summers, Jaclyn Hall, Andrew Onstad, Nicole Berryman, Eric Berryman, Kylie Lodoen, Kendra Hamnes, Alicia Young, Andrea Knuth and Edward Thom; and his siblings, Darlyne Froseth of Bottineau, ND and Mark Thom of Kramer, ND.. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be given to the Metigoshe Lutheran Church or the Maddock Memorial Home.
