He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingman Haugen and Myrtle Haugen; and his brother Phillip Haugen. He is survived by: his brothers, Gene Haugen (Janis) and Duane Haugen (Candy); and his son Chad Carr (Heather).
He gave generously to the Lord's work, including many donations to North Viking Church where he was confirmed, and toward the maintenance of the Fron Church Cemetery grounds near Maddock, where many ancestors were charter members and were buried.
