With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jay Rice of Maddock, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jay left this world on July 15, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Rice and Anna Rice (Bjerkan); and his siblings, Harley, Willard, Wallace, John, Gerald, David, Gene, Evelyn, Jewell, Lucille, Helen, Alice, Patricia, Blanche and Katherine.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Coenen; his daughter Barbara Taylor (Larry); his grandchildren, Amy Frericks (Brad), Robert Taylor (Abby) and Laura Anderson (Anton); and his nieces and nephews, Harley Rice (Dude), Ross Burgess, Diane Smith and Valerie Valentine. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the North Viking Lutheran Cemetery Fund: 4645 38th St. NE Maddock, ND 58348 or to the charity of donor's choice.
