He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Thielman and Clara Thielman (Wallock); his wife Dorothy; his siblings, Jane Foertsch and Doyle Thielman; his siblings-in-law, Arthur Haase and Eileen York; his grandchildren, Lance Gereszek and Katherine Gereszek; and his great grandchild Keira Nelson.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Melvin; his children, James Gereszek (Debbie) of Austin, TX, Diane Arth of Lidgerwood, ND, Karen Bender of Fargo, ND, Kathy Block (Melvin) of Gwinner, ND and Michael Thielman (Twila) of Henderson, NV; his sister Clara Ann Evensvold; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Haase (Renee), Kenneth Haase (Wanda), Wally Haase (Sandy) and Rosie Buehre (Mike). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
