He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Buzzy" and Roselyn Gilbert (Ries); his father-in-law Lloyd Halvorson; and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Froemke, Jim Lukes and Lonnie Halvorson.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Halvorson; his sons, Paul (Kirsten) of Lisbon, ND, Chad (Becky) of Lisbon, ND and Scott (Leah) of Lisbon, ND; his grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Ryker, Trivette and Lennox; his brother Greg Gilbert (Joanne) of Waubun, MN; and his mother-in-law Vivian Halvorson of Milnor, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
