He is survived by: his wife Viola Schwengler; his son Steve Serr (Wendy) of Mandan, ND; his granddaughter Alison Wald (Logan); his great grandchildren, Emery and Hadley; and his siblings-in-law, Lee Nelson of Steele, ND and Valentine "Sonny" Schwengler of Napoleon, ND..
