He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Baumgartner and Margaret Baumgartner (Bauman); his sister Lavern Glass (Eugene); his brother-in-law Jim Barth; and his nephews, Deon Schumacher and James L. Barth.
He is survived by: his sons, Joey (DelRae) of Strasburg and Michael (Kayla) of Strasburg; his wife Melinda Voller of Linton; his daughter Sara Jahner (Jesse) of Linton; his grandchildren, Natalie, Claire, Joseph Baumgartner, Kinley, Ashlyn Jahner and Jace Baumgartner; and his sisters, Betty Barth, Mary Schumacher (Bill) and Marlene Baumgartner (Jackie). He is also survived by one brother.
