With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Strege of Lidgerwood, North Dakota, who passed away on March 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Strege and Myrtle Strege (Solberg); his in-laws, Olaf and Gladys Hegseth; his siblings, Luverne, Howard, Elmer, James, Claude, Orvis, Joseph, Steven, Merlin, Inez, Leonora and Lynette; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Malzahn, JoAnn Strege and Gina Malzahn.
He is survived by: his wife Marlys Hegseth of Fargo; his children, Jo Gourde (Gerard) of Fargo and Bob Strege (Nancy) of Roseville, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Emilee Gourde (Craig Cavett) of Fargo, Mason Gourde of Grand Forks and Erin Strege of Roseville; his sister Emelia Johnson of Minnetonka, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Strege of Lidgerwood, Ann Strege of Wyndmere, Cindy Strege of Fargo and Clay Hegseth (Judy) of Sioux Falls.
