He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smykowski and Kathryn Smykowski; his son Anthony; his siblings, Carol Baldwin and David Smykowski; and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Smykowski.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Olson; his children, Kenneth of Lidgerwood, ND, Kevin of Lisbon, ND, Dennis (Constance) of Lidgerwood, ND, Robert of La Junta, CO, Candia of Irrigon, OR and Patricia (David Jacobson) of Fargo, ND; and his siblings, Donald (Kay) of Lee's Summit, MO, JoAnne Lipp of Breckenridge, MN and Mary (Tom Klubberud) of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
