He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin and Lillian; and his siblings, Ernst Tesch, Rita Wilson and Chloe Houchen.

He is survived by: his wife Hannelore Heley (Pommer); and his siblings, Leah "Becky" Greer and Bill (Beverly Tesch) of Rutland, ND. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
