It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace J. Peterson of Lawton, North Dakota, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ole Pederson and Josephine Pederson (Jacobson); and her former husband Fred Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband Alvin "Pat" Peterson of Park River, ND; her sons, Ronald E. Schmidt of Tolna, ND and Warren "Gene" Schmidt (Leslie) of Moorhead, MN; her stepdaughters, Darlene Krom (Gary) of Lawton, ND and Denise Sandford of Perham, MN; her grandchildren, Trevor Schmidt, Jennifer Krom, Stacy Sandford, Kyle Krom and James Sandford; and her great grandchildren, Teagyn Sandford, Blake McKusick and Gracelyn Krom.
