He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore B. Handeland and Alma A. Handeland (Wiese); his wife Ethel; his daughter Vicki Panasuk; his grandchildren, Chandie Behm and Roman Mayer; and his siblings, Helen Helming, Hazel Pendley, Elvira Anderson, Erma Vlack, Doris Huddelston, Melvin and Lyle Handeland.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Ethel M. McLean; his children, Kathy Bonebrake (Darol) of Lake Metigoshe, ND, Nancee Strand (Bart), David Handeland, Craig Handeland (Shirley Sedevie), Minot Jennie Handeland, JoAnn Wiertzema (Jerry), Carolyn Braun (Robert) and T. J. Handeland (Teresa); and his siblings, Marian (Leonard), Gladys Abernathy and Larry Handeland. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren.
Celebrating the Life of Ted: Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, A Private Funeral Service by invitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2020, at 1:30 pm at First Lutheran Church in Minot, ND. Those attending are required to wear masks and social distance.
