He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Olson and Ruth Olson (Payne); his wife Helen Jennings; his siblings, Hazel McFarlane, Rhena Lorenz, Effie Bingenheimer, Mildred Olson, Alden, Arthur and Marten; and his daughter-in-law Sherry Olson.

He is survived by: his children, Ross Olson (Barb) of Mesa, AZ, Lee Olson (Nina) of Anchorage, AK, Scott Olson of Hayden, ID and Ramona Olson of Pine Island, MN; his grandchildren, Leif Olson (Erin), Dustin Olson (Kate), Haily Olson, Dakota Olson, Burt Merculief (Lisa), Randall David, Becky Watkins (Josh), Jennifer Olson and Adam Olson (Crystal); and his brother-in-law Robert Jennings (Myrtle). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Uncle Ronald was the last living sibling of my father, Marten Olson. Ronald reminded me of my dad in looks and in personality. I fondly remember visits to the farm when Ron and Helen and the kids were growing up. He was a good, kind man who loved the Lord.
