He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Duerr and Dorothy Duerr (Buntjer) of Nekoma; his son Robert Lee Duerr Jr.; his parents-in-law, Carroll and Grace Johnson (Thiessen); his brothers, Alfred, Lloyd and Richard; his niece Debra Nelson (Duerr); and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Duerr and Thomas Vasichek.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson of Langdon; his brothers, Ray of Osnabrock, James of Nekoma and Glen of Tacoma, WA; his brother-in-law Leonard Johnson (Wanda) of Cavalier; and his close friend Glenn Christianson of Langdon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
