It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Orlin Schanz of Langdon, North Dakota, who passed away on November 11, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Schanz and Martha Schanz (Ertmann); his former wife Ilene Fischer; his stepson Scott Breckenridge; his brothers, Allen and Leroy; his siblings-in-law, Grace Schanz, Don Roder, Gordon Clark and Ed Bowser; his grandsons, Terance Fischer (TJ) and Jamie Geisen; and his stepgrandson Pierce Kvien.
He is survived by: his wife Cheri Klein; his stepchildren, Ron Fischer (Isabel), Becky Geisen, Gayle Retterath (Jim), Terry Fischer, Lori Gray, Tina Kvien (Patrick) and Jon Breckenridge; and his sisters, Eleanor Roder, Dorothy Clark and Doris Bowser. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and 17 nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral is restricted to 50 people so will be a private family service. Social distancing and masks are required.
