It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Shankar (Langdon, North Dakota), who passed away on November 12, 2018, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Shankar to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Otto and Kathleen Otto (Wild); her husband Richard; her brothers, Richard Otto and Robert Otto; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Hamann, Mary Cummings and Rose Shankar.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Larry; her daughter Joanne Gehrtz (Larry) of Devils Lake, ND; her grandsons, Richard Gehrtz (Bethany Bratlie), Clayton Gehrtz (Jenna) and Dylan Gehrtz (Kelsey); her great grandchildren, Hayden and Liam; her brothers, Duane Otto (Bev) of Langdon, ND and James Otto (Lois) of Fargo, ND; and her sisters-in-law, Edi Ann Otto, Sally Otto and Jean Maynard (Norm). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
