It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorretta Gjesdal (Langdon, North Dakota), born in Edmore, North Dakota, who passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Sanderson and Gunda Sanderson (Hellekson); her former husband Irvin Melland; her son Kenneth; her stepson Lance; and her granddaughters, Breah Roy and Brooke Borho.
She is survived by: her husband Orris Gjesdal; her children, LuDelle Balek (Allen) of Gillette, WY, Rhonda Day (JD) of San Antonio, TX and Melanie Hoover (Bill) of Vallejo, CA; her stepchildren, Tammy Gjesdal (Shawn O'Brien) of Winston-Salem, NC, Kerna Gjesdal (Brian Wirth) of Munich, ND, Stacey Roy (Dave) of Langdon and Sherri Romfo (Mark) of Langdon; and her siblings, John Sanderson (Rita) of Grand Forks, ND, Ron Sanderson (Gail) of Harstine Island, WA, Jane Melland (Lynn) of Elk River, MN and Lloyd Sanderson (Patty) of Edmore, ND.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
