He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alice Metzger of Langdon and Leslie Kartes; his brother-in-law Arnold Metzger; and also, Madeline Metzger (Silverius), Alvin Kartes, Arthur Kartes and Mary Ann Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Cyrilla of Langdon; his sons, Daniel of Grand Forks, ND and Joseph of Coon Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Charles, Nathaniel and Cameron; and his siblings-in-law, Alyce Kartes and Dennis Stewart.
