She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Girodat and Margaret Girodat (Meyer); her husband Parnell Kartes; her brothers, Jerome and Jim; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Druar and Charles Loomis.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne of Rolla, ND, Deb Zwingel (Dave) of Rugby, ND, Donna Sager of Langdon, Lynn (Tammi) of Sykeston, ND, Laverne "Frank" (Susan) of Hillsboro, ND, Randy of Devils Lake, ND and Rick (Laurie) of Wales, ND; and her sisters, Charlotte Druar, Irene Loomis and Sandra (James).
