He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ridley and Joycelyn Ridley (Nield); his wife Joyce Amoth; and his brother John Ridley Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Stephen of Langdon, Shawn (Julie) of Fort Collins, CO and Aaron (Jennifer) of Savage, MN; his grandchildren, Noah and Elena; his sisters, Jackie Knudson (John) and Judy Gossett (Steve); and his sister-in-law Cindy Ridley.

The family asks that memorials be directed to United Lutheran Church in Langdon.
