He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sandness and Clara Sandness (Hanson); his stepmother Ruby Sandness; his wife Delores Evelyn Sandness; his son-in-law Jack Jensen; his great grandchild Ryan Solberg; his siblings, Sigvart Sandness (Margaret), Claire Sandness (Barbara), Richard Sandness (Ruth), Muriel Tompt (Cliff), Edna Oien (Maurice), Irene Lere (Ray) and Corinne Carlson (Lloyd); and his stepsister Dot Gorden.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Jensen, Carmen Solberg (Greg), Stuart Sandness (Linda), Eugene Sandness (Monica), Greg Sandness (Debbie), Robert Sandness (Michele), Jay Sandness (Sharie) and Jackie Tostenson (Jerry); his brother Albert Jr. Sandness (Junice); and his close friend Jan Hird. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren.
