He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Lere and Marie Lere (Sandness); his siblings, Glenn, Orville, Lowell, Leonard Lere, Kathryn Norberg, Mildred Houge, Florence Lere and Muriel Lere; his brothers-in-law, Algeo Norberg, Alvin Houge and Page Shaw; and his nephew Allen Lee Norberg.
He is survived by: his sister Alice Shaw of Maine; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Maker, Marcia Zimmerman, Gloria Lere and Doris Lere. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
