She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunder Skjerseth and Borghild Skjerseth (Nyland); and her siblings, Thor Skjerseth, Peter Skjerseth, Goodrun Leikas, Gladys Dahl, Bernice McClary, Betty Noland Munson and James Skjerseth.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Severson of Lakota; her children, Deb Aamot (Mike) of Makoti, ND, Randy Severson (Lee) of Grand Forks, ND and Sandy Hanna (Zeke) of Manvel, ND; and her grandchildren, Ryan Aamot (Janelle), Jon Aamot (Patty), Randy Pogatshnik (Ashley), Erin Severson (Stuart Ferry), Abi Aerts (Vince), Frank Haley and Charlie Rerick. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
