He was predeceased by: his parents, Magdalena Johnson (Haid) and Ervin Johnson; his siblings, Rodney and Audrey; his brother-in-law Carlo Laine; his nephew Rick Laine; his grandchild Angel (Thompson); and his great grandchild Angel (Solum).
He is survived by: his wife Bernie (Rose); his daughters, Claudette Thompson (Richard), Jolette Wilson (Mike) and Lori Walker (Bill); his grandchildren, John Nichols (Kelsey), Sadie Solum, Triton and Brinlee Walker; his great grandchildren, Clarissa Farley and Stevie Nichols; his brothers, Lyle (Eleanor), Don (Bernice) and Tom; and his foster brother Terry Hilbers.
