The passing of Jay Spethman of Killdeer, North Dakota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 72. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Spethman and Fern Spethman (Alexander); his brother Dale Spethman (Dude); his brothers-in-law, Duane Schaff (Red), Dan Steckler and Pete Reiten; his grandson Payson Spethman; and also, Roy and Agnes Karey.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Karey; his children, Joel Spethman (Nikki) and Jodi Staloch (Jordan); his grandchildren, Deklen, Easton J. Staloch, Tenisyn and Corvan Spethman; and his siblings, Kay Reiten and Duane Spethman (Cynthia). He is also survived by sisters and brothers and their spouses; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevenson Funeral Home - Killdeer (225 Central Ave S, Killdeer, ND 58640). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to: New Life Worship Center in Beulah for the CREW Youth Program (make checks out to New Life Worship Center with 'CREW' written in the memo).
