She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Assels and Emma Assels (Nelson); her husband Richard Nelson; her siblings, James Assels (Carol), Roy Assels (Lucinda), Hazel Soum (Ray), Gladys McKee (Mack), Grace Wherely (David) and Elsie Odland (Tom); and her siblings-in-law, Melvin Nelson (Myrtle), Floyd Nelson (Irene), Lyle Nelson, Erma Nelson (Roger), Maffie Schwietzer (Wilbert) and Agnes Mellon (Jerry).
She is survived by: her children, Dave Nelson (Fran) and Dianna Ackerman (Greg); her grandchildren, Jason Ackerman (Danell), Jeremy Ackerman (Heather) and Jodi Tvedt (Brian); and her great grandchildren, Paige, Jillian Ackerman, Abigail Ackerman, Easton, Shelby Tvedt, Koby Hahn, Kelsey Schlag (Bryant), Lily and Sadie.
