He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Olson and Estelle Olson (Emerson). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Bjone; his children, Lori Carpenter (Neil), Lynn Larson (Randy), Craig Olson (Bea) and Kim Myers (Greg); and his sister Jean Pyne (Bill) of Vancouver. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
