It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilene Wald (Karlsruhe, North Dakota), who passed away on March 3, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence and Irene Ulledahl, Sr. (Freelander); her former husband Kenneth Saari; her great grandchild Reagan Schenfisch; her siblings, Alice Tronson (Clarence), Selmer Ulledahl, LeRoy Ulledahl, Donald Ulledahl and Clarence Ulledahl, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Bartsch, Ben Wald, Dennis Saari, Floyd Saari, Bertha Choiniere (Paul), Kathleen Ulledahl and Marlys Saari.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Wald of Karlsruhe, ND; her children, Darwin Saari (Susan) of Turtle Lake, ND, Laura Dankmyer (Ronald) of Minot, Darcy Schiele (Jason) of Minot, Mike Wald (Brenda) of Minot and Curt Saari (Michelle) of Minot; her grandchildren, Jason Saari, Diane Saari, Amber Marroquin (Chris), James Schiele, Kimberly Schiele, Katrina Schiele, Dana Duchscherer (Cole), Heather Schenfisch (Dustin), Drew Saari, Cory Dankmyer (Amber), Brandon Wald and Cierra Wald; her siblings, George Ulledahl of Parshall, ND, Violet Bartsch, Lawrence Ulledahl and Fern Billadeau (Bill); and her siblings-in-law, Charlotte Beechler, Teri Wald of Grand Forks, ND, Monica Scott and Bill Wald (Grace) of Harwood, ND. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
