He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Mae Bowers; his parents, Albert and Lillian; his parents-in-law, Harold and Ida Bowers; his siblings, Lowell Monson, Noelyn Monson, Allen Monson and Neldae Frank; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Burkhardt, George Frank, Richard Hofmann, Harold Bowers Sr., Robert Bowers, Edward Bowers, Margaret Olson and Betty Thatcher.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Monson of Jamestown, ND and Lisa Hoffer (Bryan) of Jamestown, ND; his grandchildren, BryAnna Meyer (Zac) of Racine, WI, Baxter Hoffer of Volga, SD and LiAnna Hoffer of Ypsilanti, ND; his great grandchild Opal Meyer of Racine, WI; his siblings, Marilyn Burkhardt of Jamestown, ND, Arlyce Chadwick (Leonard) of Jamestown, ND, Lois Hofmann of West Fargo, ND, Julaine Monson-Cummings (Mark) of Clinton, MT, Edward Monson (Jean) of Lakefield, MN, Dale Monson (Virginia) of Mandan, ND, Rodney Monson (Barbara) and Lorne Monson of Fargo, ND; and his sisters-in-law, Billie Monson of Enderlin, Donna Monson of Litchville, ND and Eileen Monson of Jamestown, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church Jamestown, McCoy Ministries Jamestown or Youth for Christ Jamestown.
