He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Perleberg and Elvina Perleberg (Buetow); his wife Edna; his siblings, Albert, Alva, Rudy, Arthur, Vera, Della, Esther, Viola, Linda and LuElla; his granddaughter Amy Perleberg; and his son-in-law Jeffrey Falck.
He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Lees (James) of Jamestown, ND, William Perleberg (Kim McGarrah) of Jamestown, ND, Bruce Perleberg (Joan) of Jamestown, ND, Gail Falck and Tamara Greff (Patrick); his grandchildren, Troy Lees of Cindy Flam, Cristy Wahl, Kimberly Perleberg, James Perleberg, Katie Perleberg, Ross Perleberg, Brian Perleberg, Caley Perleberg, Jeremy Perleberg, Christopher Perleberg, Jill Lura, Josh Falck, Reagan Greff and Jackson Greff; and his siblings-in-law, Gideon Boschee, Alleen Buetow and Alma Decker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church or Eldridge Cemetery in care of St. John's Lutheran Church.
