He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lorraine and Douglas; and his sisters-in-law, Loretta and Kathy. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his daughter DeAnn Thompson of Bloomington, IL; his son-in-law Earl Thompson of Bloomington, IL; his grandchildren, Kimberly Smith (Stephen) of Chicago, IL and Kirk Thompson (Catherine); his great grandchildren, Tory Smith, Natalie Smith and Jacqueline Thompson; and his brother Ed Burkett of Bismarck.
